During the month of June, Carrie's been busy acting in her first full length feature independent film, called Changeover, playing the role of psychologist, Kacy Davis. Changeover is the story of Haley Thompson, a teenage girl and musician, who moves in with her tennis pro uncle and his eight year old son after witnessing her parent's death in a car accident. Changeover deals with many modern issues including suicide prevention, depression, and PTSD. The film has a positive outlook for teens dealing with these issues and encourages breaking down stigmas related to seeking treatment.
Music plays an integral role in the film and Carrie had the privilege of working with Nashville musician and producer, Mark Evitts, to write a song featured in the last scene of the movie.
Changeover will be released to film festivals in the winter of 2013.
