Nurturing Your New Song: How to bring a song idea to life!

Do you have a poem you’d like to put to music, music that’s searching for words, or the beginning of a song that you’d like to bring along? This session is for you.

Award-winning performing songwriters Kirk Ridge and Carrie Marshall welcome new and experienced songwriters to the Imurj Songwriters Seminar Series. The sessions will begin with a short instructional segment focusing on a specific aspect of the songwriting process. The majority of time will be devoted to group and individual interactive activities where participants are encouraged to share their songs.

Carrie won the NCSC Songwriter of the Year competition and writes for stage and screen. Kirk’s lyrics have been published in American Songwriter Magazine and he hosts a weekly songwriters’ radio show on WHUP. www.kirkridgemusic.com www.carriemarshall.net
