Mentorship & Lessons

Carrie’s passion is helping others find freedom and joy through the art of singing and songwriting. Whether in a group setting or one-on-one, Carrie specializes in helping her students find their own voice, confidence and artistry, whether singing as a hobby to those who seek to perform professionally. Carrie's breadth of experience as a performing artist gives her first-hand knowledge to equip her students for success. With an M.Ed degree in curriculum and instruction, she is well versed in creating programs to suit the needs of her students, bridging the gap from the studio to the professional stage. Carrie's studio works in conjunction with Moonlight Stage Company, an arts and entertainment hub and training center in the Raleigh area.

Carrie's private voice and songwriting students have gone on to prestigious music and songwriting programs such as Berklee, USC, Belmont, Grammy Camp and more.

Voice, Songwriting & Piano

Carrie divides her calendar year into trimesters, offering 12-week fall, winter and spring sessions. Students have the opportunity to sign up for LESSON TRACKS (30, 45 or 55 minute sessions) in their particular field of artistry - with an emphasis of voice, piano or songwriting (or a tailor made combo!).  Lesson Tracks are a 12 week commitment and include:

 10 private lessons

 2 studio classes

1 showcase. 

Private instruction is tailor-made for each individual, adjusted for all ages and ability levels, from beginner to professional. Advanced  students eventually headline their own show at Moonlight's black box theatre.

ADVANCED SINGERS & SONGWRITERS will also be mentored in performance opportunities locally. Songwriters have opportunity for mentorship with the production of their recording music, with connections and opportunities to connect to studios & producers both locally and in Nashville, L.A.

INDVIDUAL LESSONS are available on a first come/first serve basis for those who are not able to commit to a 3 month timeframe. Check with Carrie for availability.
